Vogels, Markten en Zazen.
Als je een vogel door de lucht ziet vliegen,
Zie je een ‘vogel’.
Je ziet niet een paar veren, 2 pootjes, een snavel en 2
oogjes door de lucht dwarrelen.
Eenheid is hier bepalend.
Veelheid is bij nader beschouwen te zien.
Als je op de markt loopt,
Zie je veel mensen, kraampjes, allerlei spullen,
Én je ziet ‘de Markt’, druk, levendig of verlaten.
Eenheid en Veelheid wisselen voortdurend af.
Als je naar het zoomscherm kijkt,
Zie ‘jij’ een aantal ‘anderen’.
Het is een Veelheid van ‘zelfstandige’ mensen.
De Eenheid van de bijeenkomst is als zijnde
‘samengesteld’.
De Eenheid van de vogel is duidelijk zichtbaar.
Het samenspel op de markt tussen koopwaar, mensen en je
aanwezigheid,
Is een organische happening.
Zazen via het scherm of in de zendo is de beoefening in ‘grenzeloos onderscheiden’
van vogels, markten en zazen.
‘Absolute and Relative’
In the Dutch translation it is: ‘Oneness and Many’.
Birds, Markets and Zazen
If you see a bird flying in the sky,
you see a ‘bird’.
You do not see some feathers, 2 legs, a beak
and 2 eyes whirl through the air.
Oneness is clear.
Many things are seen after a good look.
Walking on a market area,
you see people, market stalls, all kind of
products.
Same time you see ‘The Market’, busy, lively or
desolate.
Unity and Multiplicity alternate continuously.
Looking at the screen during zoom,
‘you’ see a number of ‘others’.
There is a Many of ‘independent’ people.
The Unity of the meeting you can call
‘composed’.
The Unity of the bird is clearly visible.
The interplay at the market of merchandise,
people and you being a part of it,
is an organic happening.
Zazen by the way of the screen or in the zendo
is a practice in ‘boundless distinction’
of birds, markets and zazen.
